Writer Training

Writing guidelines

The Writers Website has very strict writing standards, and these are to be adhered to for each and every project. Once you are admitted as a writer, researcher or proofreader, you will be able to view the writing guidelines in your account. We have particular requirements for the different types of writing services that we offer, and we expect writers to meet these requirements. Apart from clarity of argument and structure, we expect your written work to be flawless in terms of grammar and punctuation. We also expect you to submit your projects properly formatted and proofread. This will save you time and effort and will reduce the likelihood of amendment requests.

Citation guidelines

Regardless of what your research field is, proper citation is a crucial point on the list of requirements for quality work. As a writer for the Writers Website, we will expect you to be comfortable using at least one of the common referencing styles such as Harvard, MLA, APA, Oxford, Chicago etc. Do not worry if you are not familiar with all referencing styles – this is technical knowledge and it is acquired with practice. As a writer, we will make sure you have access to citation guidelines and learning materials.

Tutorials

Our writers are our greatest asset. Therefore investing time and effort for their improvement and training is always a win-win strategy. Upon request, we will be organizing monthly or bi-monthly online tutorials for those of you who want to improve a certain writing technique, or learn how to write for a particular type of audience.

Newsletters and updates

Part of our formula for success relies on constant communication with our writers. We want to hear from you. We want you to know when we introduce a new feature or simply when we have an announcement to make. We want you to make the most of the Writers Website therefore our dedicated team will make sure to keep you posted for our latest developments via email or via the website.
